Make it your own
A few styling notes.
Warm timber gives this palette its depth. Work with a bookcase you already own, a small writing desk or a second-hand side table. The pieces do not need to match when their colours sit comfortably together.
A reading lamp should earn its place. Position it so that the light falls onto the page without shining into your eyes, and make room for a cup beside the chair.
Finish with texture rather than clutter: a wool throw, an interesting paper shade or a worn wooden tray. The best detail is the one that makes you want to stay.
